Business Development Analyst, Marketplace

Azion Marketplace is a digital catalog for independent software vendors that makes it easy to find, buy and deploy software that runs on the Edge, with the potential to include solutions from the world's largest to small niche software companies or even open source solutions.

As our Business Development Analyst, you will be responsible for prospecting technology alliances to expand the Azion Marketplace catalog and will help to build our Edge Computing ecosystem. You will build deep relationships with ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) and work helping them to develop and to implement a transformation strategy to deliver new revenue streams across Azion Marketplace worldwide. You will work with Sales and Product teams to ensure partners can meet customer requirements, and will also manage projects on internal and external teams to help scale and effectively build and position programs that benefit Azion customers and partners.

This challenge ranges from planning product categories that are strategic to the ecosystem, prospecting and qualifying partners who offer products from those categories, to effectively close the partnerships, adding the partner's product offer into our Marketplace catalog. You will build the process from scratch and be responsible from start to finish.

You will need to pitch Azion Marketplace and negotiate with hundreds of software companies around the world, creating long-term relationships that benefit both companies. You must be methodical and persuasive, as in a sales process, and you must be skilled in both written and oral communication. It is very important that you enjoy networking, meeting new people and building lasting relationships, as this will be your day to day.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Business development skills that allow you to get involved with the CXO / VP level;
  • Experience working in the software industry, such as ISV, Channel or technology partner;
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of the software ecosystem in more than one market (e.g. security, networking, storage, devops, etc.);
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or similar experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with prospecting partnerships or strategic alliances;
  • Experience in SaaS, Cloud or Edge Computing projects;
  • Knowledge of marketplace concepts;
  • MBA or extension courses outside your field of study;
  • Fluent in other languages such as Spanish or Chinese.
